Modeling of Average Current in Non-Ideal Buck and Synchronous Buck Converters for Low Power Application

In this paper, a comparative analysis of the average switch/inductor current between ideal and non-ideal buck synchronous converters is performed verified against standard LTspice model. The mathematical modeling was using volt-sec amp-sec balance equations analyzed MATLAB/Simulink. transients in output voltage inductor were observed. transfer function switch to duty cycle (Gid) open loop configuration for low-power operating continuous conduction mode (CCM) modeled thestate space averaging (SSA) technique Initially, amp-sec, modeled. ratio derived SSA models available software. Though Gid various methods earlier works, analyses parameters such as low frequency gain, stability, resonant location poles zeros not presented. It observed that stable, converter showed smaller than due equivalent series resistances (ESR) capacitor. higher stability placement closer s-plane. However, remained same configuration.
